1. The controller
The controller of personal data processed through bikefitatelier.com and app.bikefitatelier.com is Răzvan Gorea (contact: contact@bikefitatelier.com). For any question or request about your data, write to this address.
2. Data you enter in the app
Anthropometric data you enter (height, inseam, child age) is used for calculations in the current session, exclusively in your browser. It is not sent to or stored on a server.
3. Photos and videos
Images and videos uploaded for angle measurement are processed entirely in your device's browser, including automatic joint detection. They are never uploaded to our servers or stored — even if you have an account.
4. Hosting and statistics
The site and app are hosted with Vercel Inc. (USA); when you access them, servers automatically record standard technical data (IP address, browser type, access time), necessary for serving and securing the service. For aggregate traffic statistics we use Vercel Analytics, a cookie-less service with anonymized data that cannot identify visitors. Transfers of technical data to the USA rely on GDPR safeguards (Data Privacy Framework / standard contractual clauses).
5. Legal basis and retention
Technical access data and anonymous statistics are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), for the operation and security of the service. E-mail correspondence is processed on the basis of steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
6. Minors
The app is not directed at persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. We recommend that minors use the app only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has transmitted personal data to us (for example by e-mail), they may contact us to have it deleted.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, port, and object. Since analysis content never reaches us, we normally hold no data about you beyond any correspondence. For any request, write to contact@bikefitatelier.com; deletion is carried out without undue delay. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Romania, this is ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).
8. Cookies and local storage
The app uses no tracking cookies and builds no advertising profiles; we use only functional cookies for your language and theme preferences, and browser local storage for the data and results kept on your device. Full details in the Cookie Policy.
9. Inactive and future features
The application's code includes features that are currently disabled and inaccessible to users: an optional account for saving fitting history and an AI-based conversational advisor. While disabled, no personal data processing takes place through these features. Should we decide to activate them, we will first update this policy with a full description of the processing involved — data categories, purposes, providers used, and legal bases — and, where the law requires it, request consent before use.
