1. The service and the operator
BIKEFIT/ATELIER (bikefitatelier.com and app.bikefitatelier.com) is a free software advisory tool for choosing a bicycle and adjusting riding position, based on cycling biomechanics principles. Recommendations are indicative and rely on user-provided data. The service is operated by Răzvan Gorea (contact: contact@bikefitatelier.com). By using the app you accept these terms.
2. Nature of the advice
The app provides technical and biomechanical guidance on bike geometry and riding position. It does not provide medical services, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not replace an assessment by a bike fitting specialist, physician, or physiotherapist. For any health issue, consult a medical professional. Results may vary between analysis sessions depending on capture conditions.
3. User responsibility
Adjustments to the bicycle are made at the user's own risk, gradually and with caution. Verify correct component tightening after each adjustment (manufacturer torque specs) and test the bike in a safe environment before riding in traffic.
4. Accuracy of results
Results depend on the accuracy of the measurements and images provided (camera position, image quality, correctness of selected landmarks). The model database is continuously expanding and is not an exhaustive market list.
5. Minors
The app is designed for adult users, and its reference ranges and fitting recommendations are calibrated for adult biomechanics. Persons under 18 may use the app only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who assumes responsibility for applying any recommendations. The riding position of growing children and adolescents should be set with increased caution and, preferably, with the guidance of a specialist.
6. Links to third-party websites
The app may contain links to third-party websites (for example equipment shops, official manufacturer calculators, or informational resources), provided solely for the user's convenience, for informational purposes. We have no affiliate relationship with the linked websites and receive no commissions or other benefits from your visits to them or purchases made on them. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, policies, or commercial practices of third-party websites, and the inclusion of a link does not constitute a warranty or commercial endorsement. You access third-party websites at your own risk.
7. Intellectual property
The app's content (texts, algorithms, graphics) belongs to the operator. Bicycle brands mentioned belong to their respective manufacturers and are used for information only. All rights not expressly granted remain reserved.
8. Availability and limitation of liability
The app is provided free of charge, "as is", without warranties regarding the accuracy of results, uninterrupted availability, or absence of errors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages resulting from applying the recommendations, for loss of data stored locally on the user's device, or for temporary or permanent unavailability of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including consumers' rights under mandatory legislation.
9. Changes
The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, and may update these terms; the current version is the one published in the app, with its update date displayed.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes shall be resolved amicably where possible, and otherwise by the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to consumers' rights to bring proceedings in their state of residence where the law so provides.
